Ok so it's now December something or other and it has been since October since I last posted anything. What can I say...it feels like just yesterday we were picking pumpkins and trick-or-treating. I'm not really sure what happened to November. And December was pretty much the same as every year- magical, wonderful, fun and chaotic. Now that the year is over I decided to do a little year in review for all 5 of my blog readers. (Ummm...thank you to my big for reminding me that she still checks my blog).
Mason started 2010 looking like this...
He wore footed pajamas and Elmo was his best pal.
He learned to feed himself and I decided to buy some stock in Brawny...
We played outside and pouted when it was time to go inside.
In May, my little monkey turned 2!
A momma duck and her babies visited our neighborhood. I think they were heading to the pool. We spent a lot of time at the neighborhood pool. I took Mason to a 'mommy and me' swim lesson. It was fun, but I couldn't help wondering which kids were peeing in the pool.
We learned that stickers are fun.
We also learned that dirt + water = muddy good times and fun laundry for me!
Mike and I assembled a swing set, then washed our mouths out with soap. Then the kids enjoyed slipping, sliding, splashing and screaming in the backyard.
We dressed Mason like Toadstool and took family bike rides to the park. He dropped banana peels for the cars behind us. I love Super Mario Kart.
Michael taught Mason some soccer. It looks like he has a promising future in the sport.
Yoda turned 10. So now he is like 73 in dog years.
Despite her best efforts, Tia has yet to figure out how to get her tongue in her mouth. She turned 6 this year.
Rocky comtemplated the meaning of life and is currently working on solving the energy crisis. He turned 4.
In the fall we visited the pumpkin patch and Mason fed all kinds of animals. Thank goodness he didn't ask Santa for a goat.
We went through a cane maze. No one got lost though. In case you were worried.
Michael and I had our first annual pumpkin carving contest and I won! Artistically, his was better, but Pistol Pete was the crowd favorite.
Mason discovered Toy Story and wanted to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween. He calls him Buzz Light-hear. "To in-fin-y and be-on!"
Collectively the dogs tried to figure out the best way to blend into the couch.
We decided clothes are so overrated...
We went from a crib to a twin size bed. And now Saturday mornings Mason comes in our room, wakes us up and wants breakfast. I think we should have just built a bigger crib.
We saw Elmo LIVE!
Michael and I celebrated 5 years of marriage.
Santa (or Panda according to Mason) came and brought some pwesents.
This year has flown by, but it has been amazing. We have loved watching Mason grow (4 inches to be exact). He is speaking in full sentences and singing songs. Life is never dull in the Daniel house. We have loved living in our new house for over a year now. Maybe someday I will post pictures of it. But I have to clean it first. And then I have approximately 3 hours before there are hot wheels, trains, and dog hair all over the place.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
