Under the Big Top

Mason had another “first” this past weekend.  We took him to the circus for the first time.  Thanks to Pa Pa for the tickets!

He loved it.  He especially loved the elephants.  Every time they came out he announced it to everyone “elephants, elephants, elephants…mommy look elephants…daddy look elephants!”
And of course when we go the circus there is one snack that I must have.
Any guesses?
COTTON CANDY!
Cotton candy is to circus as hot dog is to ballpark…or funnel cake is to fair…ok you get my point right?  It’s sticky, sweet, unhealthy and absolutely necessary.  So of course we went to buy some.
“That will be $12.”
Wait…what?  Twelve dollars?  For cotton candy?
“Oh, but it comes with a free hat.”
Oh ok, now that makes it better.  I thought for a second we were getting ripped off here.
While we were buying our $12 bag of sugar Mason saw this.

It has wheels.  This meant that he wanted it.  I’m not sure what it is, but my child is attracted to anything with wheels…like a fish attracted to shiny things…or blonde bimbos attracted to Hugh Hefner…ok sorry, enough with the analogies today.
Anyway, the circus was fun.  But now, we can’t get Mason to take off his hat.
