Mason's birthday was very eventful. Although I didn't get to have his party at the park due to all the rain, we still had a fun time at our house. Thanks to all our friends and family who made his birthday so special. Here are a few highlights...
Our big gift to Mason was a swingset. The boy LOVES to be outside and we grew tired of driving to the park so we figured it was time. When we bought the swingset it came in two boxes and the parts looked like this...
Yikes! We knew it would be tricky, but we had no idea it would take us 3 days to put together. And I would love to have a little chat with the person who wrote the instruction manual for this thing. Anyway, all the hard work was worth it. Now we get to do this...
Climb...
Slide...
and swing...weeeee!
Mason also got some other toys that he is absolutely loving!
A bubble machine...
money for his piggy bank...
a new car...
and so much more. What a lucky kid!
The theme for Mason's party was Elmo because Mason loves Elmo at the moment and I figured this would be the last year I would be able to do an Elmo party. Here is the invitation and the Elmo cupcake cake I made.
I had so much fun making them.
So far 2 hasn't been terrible at all. Big boy toys are fun. And so are big boy rooms! I would like to report that Mason has been sleeping in his big boy room in a twin bed for a week now. It is going better than expected. I will post pics of the room soon. I'm still finishing a few decor details.
'til next time!
Andrea
