Yikes! You would think I was having twins. I had cankles and heartburn. And the first real picture I had of our son (that didn't look like a peanut) was this...
And then we welcomed him into the world...
And he was a happy baby, despite his rough beginning...
And then one day I woke up and he looked like this...
How did this happen? He's practically an adult. Next thing we know I'll be taking him to kindergarten, then to get his driver's license, then to college, then dancing with him at his wedding. Okay, it is quite possible I am over-reacting a bit, but I didn't believe them. I didn't believe all those people, those mothers who told me that their babies grow up too fast. Because my baby is growing too fast. He's not a baby anymore...he's a TODDLER! Who throws tantrums...in Walgreen's. And he walks, and runs, and falls and gets boo-boos, and talks (sometimes in his own language), and he plays with toddler toys in his toddler room.
Now if you will excuse me, my womb is aching and I need to put it to bed.
But before I go I'll leave you with one more picture...
Happy 2nd Birthday Mason!
More on Mason's birthday coming soon!
